Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Dararat Limited Partnership (“Dararat”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses, transfers, and protects your personal data when you visit www.dararat.com or use our features, including the virtual try-on tool.
We process personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) of Thailand (“PDPA”). By using our website you acknowledge this Policy. Where the law requires consent — in particular for optional analytics cookies and for the virtual try-on — we will ask for it, and you may withdraw it at any time.
1. Data Controller
The data controller responsible for your personal data is Dararat Limited Partnership, 71 Burapha Road, Wang Burapha Phirom, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand.
For any privacy matter, including exercising your rights, contact us at [email protected].
2. Personal Data We Collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:
- Contact enquiries: your name, email address, phone number, and the content of any message you send through our contact form.
- Virtual try-on images: a photograph you choose to upload so the tool can generate a preview of jewelry on you. A photo of your face or body is biometric / sensitive personal data under the PDPA (see Section 4).
- Usage and device data: with your consent, analytics tools collect your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring page, and interaction data such as clicks, scrolling, and session recordings/heatmaps.
- Preferences: a cookie that remembers your chosen language and your cookie-consent choices.
3. How We Use Your Data and Our Legal Basis
- To respond to your enquiries and provide requested information or consultations — legal basis: necessity for taking steps at your request / our legitimate interest in serving customers.
- To generate your virtual try-on preview — legal basis: your explicit consent (sensitive data).
- To measure and improve site performance and content via analytics — legal basis: your consent (collected through the cookie banner).
- To remember your language and consent settings — legal basis: legitimate interest in providing core site functionality.
- To comply with legal obligations, and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims — legal basis: legal obligation / legitimate interest.
4. Virtual Try-On and Sensitive Data
The virtual try-on lets you upload a photo so an artificial-intelligence image model can render a preview of a piece of jewelry on you. A photo showing your face or other biometric features is “sensitive personal data” under Section 26 of the PDPA, so we only process it on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give by choosing to upload an image after reading the on-screen notice.
How it works: your photo is uploaded to our storage, then sent — together with the product images — to our AI processing provider to generate the preview, which is returned to you. We may briefly cache a generated result (up to 24 hours) to avoid regenerating identical requests.
The AI image generation is performed by third-party providers located outside Thailand (see Section 6). The try-on is for illustrative purposes only and does not represent the exact appearance, fit, size, or color of any product.
You should only upload a photo of yourself, or of a person who has given you permission. Do not upload images of children or of anyone who has not consented.
You can decline the try-on entirely; it is optional. If you do not upload a photo, none of this processing occurs.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site (for example, remembering your language and consent choices). With your consent, we also use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used, including session replay and heatmaps.
Optional analytics do not run until you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
6. Disclosure and Cross-Border Transfer
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers (data processors) who help us operate the site, and only as needed:
- Virtual try-on: generated images and your uploaded photo are processed by LiteLLM proxy providers including OpenRouter and Vercel AI Gateway, which route to AI model providers such as Google. This involves transferring your data outside Thailand.
- Analytics (with consent): Google LLC (Google Analytics) and Microsoft Corporation (Clarity), which process data outside Thailand.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that store data on our behalf.
- Authorities or advisers where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
7. International Transfers
Because some of the providers above are located outside Thailand, your personal data — including try-on images and analytics data — may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data-protection standards. Where the PDPA requires, we rely on your consent and/or appropriate safeguards (such as contractual protections) for these transfers. By using the try-on or accepting analytics cookies, you consent to the transfers described in this Policy.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law.
- Contact enquiries: kept for as long as needed to handle your request and our ongoing relationship, then deleted or anonymized.
- Try-on images: uploaded and generated images are retained only as needed to deliver the preview; generated results may be cached for up to 24 hours. Data held by third-party AI providers is subject to their own retention practices.
- Analytics data: retained according to the analytics providers’ settings and our configuration.
9. Data Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information and to limit who can access it.
10. Children’s Privacy
Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate parental consent. Please do not upload photos of children to the try-on tool. If you believe a child’s data has been provided to us, contact us so we can delete it.
11. Your Rights Under the PDPA
Subject to the conditions in the PDPA, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data and request a copy.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request erasure or anonymization of your data.
- Request restriction or object to certain processing.
- Request that we transfer your data (data portability) where applicable.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
- Lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) of Thailand.
12. How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] or write to us at 71 Burapha Road, Wang Burapha Phirom, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the timeframes required by law.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above, and where required we will seek renewed consent.
